In-Plane Shear Resistance of Insulating Concrete Form Walls

This research report presents data from tests of three types of Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF) shear walls with varying opening configurations. The report includes load deflection plots, photographs of failure modes, and a thorough discussion of results in relationship to design and construction of concrete shear walls. In particular, an empirical relationship between wall opening area and shear strength is investigated.
