Innovative Rehabiliation Provisions: A Demonstration of the Nationally Applicable Recommended Rehabilitation Provisions

Read about a side-by-side comparison of traditional rehabilitation provisions with the Nationally Applicable Recommended Rehabilitation Provisions and the code from which the provisions were adopted, the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code-Rehabilitation Subcode. This report provides one example of the application of the provisions. It is a case study that documents the rehabilitation of a 200-year-old single-family home in rural New Jersey. By publishing the use and cost-effectiveness of the new rehabilitation provisions, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development hopes to encourage more widespread adoption of similar provisions throughout the country.
