NHQ Certified Trade Contractor Program

Building it right the first time – that’s what it all boils down to for National Housing Quality (NHQ) Certified Trade Contractors. That’s how they are able to improve their productivity and profitability by significantly reducing callbacks. NHQ Certification represents a trade contractor’s ongoing commitment to continual process improvement and customer satisfaction. In order to become NHQ Certified, a contractor must:

• Have documented management processes
• Implement a customer-focused quality management system that meets NHQ requirements
• Participate in a rigorous audit by NAHB Research Center quality experts

NHQ Certified Contractors meet requirements for one or more of the following:

• Trade Contractor  - doing construction at the job site.
• Supplier  - supplying products & materials.
• Services Provider - providing support services. Includes architects, engineers, surveyors, 3^rd party inspectors, cleaning services, etc.
